Welcome to the website of the Association of Advocates for Care Reform (ACR).
We are a non-profit organization comprised of concerned citizen volunteers, whose focus is to improve the quality of life and care for people living in long-term, residential care in British Columbia.

Since 1991, we have been working to make a difference in the long-term care community in our province. Our work includes:

Support for the development of family councils at residential care facilities in BC, to help provide a voice for long-term care residents, and create an inclusive and supportive environment for families and facility staff to work together

Advocacy and education to create awareness and facilitate dialogue and consultation around the issues of care and quality of life for those living in residential care homes

We invite you to explore our new website – featuring a greater variety of information and resources to meet the needs of residents of care facilities, their families and friends, and health professionals – to learn more about how we can help, and how you can get involved. Together we can make a difference.
